I have two words for you: Moving Comfort (movingcomfort.com). This women’s-specific active wear brand has been in the works for 30 years, making everything from sport tanks to yoga pants. Their main focus? Bras. Over the course of three decades, they’ve perfected their craft by doing away with things like armpit chafing, cinching, pinching, and for women of all sizes. In fact, you can get a DD-size bra anywhere between 34 to 40 inches around the torso, and each size also has four hooks for further adjustments. Plus, they have a whopping seven styles built specifically for DD/E-size women. It might have something to do with the fact that one of their designers is larger breasted, which also means nothing about these bras’ performance is going to slip through the cracks.

Moving Comfort’s Fiona Bra

Ladies: if you are a C-DD cup and have ever experienced the frustration of keeping “the girls” under control during high-impact activities, the Fiona sports bra by Moving Comfort will be your new best friend.

It is nearly impossible to find a sports bra that exerts maximum control and does not look and feel like a medieval torture device. Fiona somehow manages to hold everything in its place and look cute to boot. The bra adjusts two ways: at the rear with a three-rowed hook and eye fastener (think regular back-fastening bra,) and on the shoulder straps with Moving Comfort’s signature hook-and-loop system. Best of all, the Fiona does not pinch, poke, prod, or otherwise irritate in one single area.

There’s this phrase, and a 1994 movie: “Prêt-à-Porter”, which apparently (I don’t speak French) means “Ready to Wear.” I’ve been thinking a lot about this little phrase lately as I get dressed in the mornings, and when I’m cruising around town with Sam. It’s not that I’m so ready to wear; it’s more that I’m ready… to mess up whatever I’m wearing.

They look casual, but if I find myself needing to—or just able to—break into a run, I’m ready to go…without feeling like I’m wearing short-short, side-split running shorts. I also love their longer Trail Bermuda shorts.
